Why we like it
Hells Scythe's hooked blade plus the Taper bit give you controlled aggression—it's happy to take the rail for a drive-by hit, but it also settles into center spin-steals better than most attack types. Out of the box it fills that crucial 'flex' slot in any deck.
Launch & setup tips
- Use a medium launch versus opposite-spin rivals—the Taper tip leans to create natural Life After Death without burning stamina early.
- Bank toward the rail when you need an attack—Hells Scythe's overhang loves clipping opponents from the side.
- Keep the 4-60 ratchet tightened every set; loose teeth reduce the combo's excellent burst resistance.
Upgrade paths + combos
- Build a control combo with 3-60 and Ball bit for a super low, hard-to-budge counter blader.
- Add Needle for a hybrid defense build that shrugs off Roar Tyranno and other Hasbro hitters.
- Pair the blade with Wand Wizard's 1-60 ratchet when you want a lighter, faster scythe setup.
